Arizona Lions – Rededication/Membership Drive

Arizona Lions - Multiple District 21 - AZ Lions Rally Service Project

Our Arizona Lions of MD 21 is off to a “ROARING” start. On Jan. 18, we will be having the Melvin Jones Memorial Rededication at Fort Thomas, Arizona. Melvin Jones founded Lions International in Chicago 102 years ago. He was born here in Fort Thomas, Arizona and now the Organization he founded consists of over 1.4 million members worldwide. International VP Brian Sheehan will be our Special Guest.

The following week, on Jan. 25, Lions Clubs all over Arizona will be holding a statewide membership and service drive. Dubbed Arizona Lions Service Rally, this is a very ambitious first-time Statewide endeavor endorsed by our 3 District Governors – David Pryce of 21A, Chris Gibbs of 21B and Marie Cunning of 21C, overall chair for the State Project Past DG Bobbie Ravenkamp. A few of the larger clubs are doing projects such as vision and diabetes screening for the general public in their communities. Some are doing Feed the Starving Children in Mesa. Some are doing tree planting, cleaning the streets, pancake breakfasts, etc. All these services are free of charge to the General Public. For more information please contact Marie at 602-573-6936 or Bobbie at 1-918-705-1227.
