Along the Santa Cruz River—We Live Here! is a day-long, village-wide, free, family friendly festival with an array of discovery happenings in celebration of the bi-national Santa Cruz River in Tubac, with a full day of discoveries and hands-on experiences offered by regional non-profit organizations, artists and musicians on, along and about the Santa Cruz River and its habitat, inhabitants, haunts and heritage. Events include guided tours, bird walk, art exhibits, children and teen activities, a scavenger hunt, open houses, presentations and talks, slide shows, a folk concert and informational exhibits and booths. The event locations will radiate from the Smithsonian Institution’s national WaterWays exhibit at the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park to indoor and outdoor venues along the Santa Cruz River and throughout the village proper. A schedule of events will be available at the Tubac Center of the Arts, the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park, Lowe House Project Artist Residency and Tubac Community Center. Along the Santa Cruz River…We Live Here! is being made possible with assistance from AZ Humanities, Tubac Rotary Club, Tubac Historical Society and the participating non-profit service and community organizations and donors.
