Saboten Con 2014 – American Anime Convention
Saboten Con is a four-day anime convention held in Arizona. The event includes a variety special guests and features events which include the following: anime specific masquerade, cosplay photo contest, console gaming, Japanese fashion show, and more.
The 7th annual event was held August 29th – September 1st at the Glendale Renaissance in Glendale, Arizona with a record unique attendance of 5,137.
Plans for next year’s event are already underway. It is slated to take place on September 4 – September 7th at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown.

Among the special guests were Aloida Gosiengfiao known as the “Cosplay Queen of the Philippines” is a Filipina cosplayer, model, artist, actress and now a recording artist in Tokyo for her new J-Pop Cosplay Idol Group called Super Dolls.
Her achievements within the cosplay community have led numerous companies in the Philippines to hire her as a celebrity endorser.
She is one of the Ambassador and VJ For Animax-Asia known as the “Ani-mates”, and the co-host of ABS-CBN’s prank show Laugh Out Loud. She also has been featured in various magazines, newspaper and TV shows locally and abroad. As well as invited to numerous conventions as a guest and judge for cosplay competitions all over the world.
Gosiengfiao also appeared on the Filipino FHM 100 Sexiest Women poll, ranking #87 in 2009, #76 in 2010, #88 in 2011 and #86 in 2012. She was named by UNO Magazine as one of the Most Influential Women in the Philippines.
In addition to her cosplay activities, Gosiengfiao is also a blogger, performer, pianist, figure collector and BJD enthusiast.
