Angela Pesqueira – New Beginnings

Tell us about yourself. Where you are from, what are your hobbies & interests? I was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Gilbert, Arizona before going to college at the University of Arizona. My hobbies and interests include yoga, reading, hiking, being outdoors and anything that is environmentally friendly! I love farmers’ markets, animals, and spending quality time with my loved ones.

What recent accomplishments make you most proud? What’s next for you? What are your long term plans? I recently graduated early from the University of Arizona with a bachelor of science in natural resources with an emphasis on wildlife conservation and management. I then moved to upstate New York right before Christmas to be with my husband! I’m excited for all that’s to come with living the married life and seeing the opportunities I will have to make a difference in conservation.

What is your favorite Filipino food? What is your favorite American food? My favorite Filipino food would either have to be mangoes or turon!

Can you share with us one thing that people would be surprised to know about you? People are typically surprised that I used to dabble in commercial and film work before college.

What is your source of inspiration? Do you have a motto that you live by? My source of inspiration is nature, God, and my wonderful husband. A motto that has stuck with me recently when I have been stressed out with school is to “be here now”, to be present and to give each moment my all.
