Nina Brings Her Signature Sound to Glendale, Joined by Kris Lawrence for Arizona Stop of U.S. Tour
GLENDALE, AZ – June 27, 2025 – Filipina singer Nina Girado, widely known as Asia’s Diamond Soul Siren, made her Arizona debut at Haven Church in Glendale as part of her Love Moves U.S. Tour 2025. Performing with a live band and joined by fellow artist Kris Lawrence, the concert offered fans an evening of soulful pop, R&B, and acoustic ballads. This is the kind of music Nina has become known for over the years, delivered with the kind of presence that quietly draws you in — graceful, magnetic, and unmistakably hers. Here are some highlights from Nina’s live performance in Glendale.
The concert was produced by Alvin Silva and Riz Syzemore of Fantabulous Events, in cooperation with HP Entertainment Productions, LLC.
Hosted by John Saavedra, the event marked the first time a Filipino artist has performed at this venue. The setup allowed for a more personal concert experience, with Nina taking time between songs to speak to the audience and share context about some of the material. The show included many of the tracks she’s most associated with and that longtime fans came to hear.
Kris Lawrence, often referred to as the Prince of R&B, first gained recognition after winning Search for the Star in a Million in 2006, also performed during the night. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Lawrence has built a solid following in the Philippines with his blend of R&B and smooth pop vocals. His Arizona set included covers of popular R&B hits — a style that matched well with the tone of the evening.
Several local vendors contributed to the overall experience, offering a variety of Filipino food and sweets. Many attendees took advantage of the opportunity to enjoy traditional favorites, adding a community-centered element to the overall event.
Arizona served as the opening date for the tour, which will continue through multiple U.S. cities in the coming weeks. The Glendale performance gave local fans a chance to hear familiar voices live — in a setting that combined professional stage presence with the comfort of shared cultural connection.
