Tootsie Guevara Captivates Arizona with Beloved OPM and Era Classics

The Arizona Broadway Theater in Peoria, AZ, was alive with the nostalgic sounds of classic OPM (Original Pilipino Music) on August 30th, as Tootsie Guevara took the stage. The concert attracted an enthusiastic crowd, eager to hear Guevarra’s powerful vocals and relive the music that shaped their memories.

“It was really fun to see her sing and also, to, listen to all the songs, the hit songs from the 90s,” shared one attendee. “I grew up hearing those songs and listening to them and singing along to them, and it’s so nice to see her perform them live.”

Guevara, who first rose to fame in the Philippines as a young singing champion, delivered an electrifying performance that had the audience singing and dancing along. Her setlist was a journey through her well-loved OPM hits, along with other iconic tracks from that era.

“She brings back memories. It’s a really unforgettable experience, especially in our time,” remarked another attendee. “Those are the songs that we really sang when it was still in the 90s and I love.”

The event was filled with enthusiastic support from the Filipino-American community, with many expressing hopes that Guevara would return to the Valley in the future.

“I wish that she will come back again. Maybe next year. So watch out,” said one attendee.
