Consular Outreach Mission in Phoenix Brings Key Services to Filipino Community of Arizona

The Philippine Consulate of Los Angeles returned to Arizona this past weekend, holding a highly anticipated Consular Outreach Mission in the Phoenix area at St. Joseph Church on April 26–27, 2025. The two-day event was hosted by both the Filipino American Business Chamber of Commerce of Arizona (FABCCA) and NaFFAA Arizona, two organizations that continue to support the Filipino community in the state.

Consul Francis Maynard Maleon and his team led the mission, assisting over 500 members of the growing Filipino community of Arizona. The outreach helped Filipinos renew their passports, apply for dual citizenship, complete civil registry services, and access Philippine consulate of Los Angeles notary services without needing to travel to Los Angeles.

The Philippine Department of Tourism was also represented to promote the “VIP Tour” project, encouraging overseas Filipinos to reconnect with the Philippines. Voting Online registration was available on-site to help overseas voters register for upcoming elections.

While parents and other attendees focused on processing their documents, children participated in painting activities provided by POWGALC (Phoenix One World Global Artists Lions Club), giving them a creative outlet while paperwork was being handled.

Sponsors and vendors who supported the event included:

  • AyalaLand
  • Megaworld International
  • Manila Sunrise Sari Sari Store
  • Momshie’s Kitchen & Ariziomai
  • Trailwinds
  • The Filipina by AllyCally
  • Saladmaster by Totally Amazing Group
  • Carico
  • POWGALC

Events like these reflect the Philippine Consulate’s ongoing efforts to adapt to the growing needs of the Filipino community of Arizona. Consular outreach missions help address challenges such as fulfilling Philippine consulate Los Angeles passport renewal requirements and securing a Philippine consulate in Los Angeles appointment without requiring long-distance travel.
